PackWest designs, manufactures, and supports inline spindle capping systems, also referred to as quill capping systems, for screw-on closures. PackWest inline screw-on capping systems accommodate a wide range of container sizes, shapes, and types as well as a wide range of cap types and sizes. Our inline spindle capping systems feature best-in-class spindle or quill style cap application technology. They are simple to operate, versatile, and can be equipped to accommodate cap sizes up to 135mm (5.3”).

Our inline screw-on cappers are widely used in the personal care, household cleaning, laundry, automotive, food, and industrial chemical product categories. PackWest inline screw-on cappers are available in two primary configurations:

  • 6-spindle models offering speeds up to 150 cpm (9,000 cph)
  • 8-spindle models offering speeds up to 300 cpm (18,000 cph)

Our spindle-driven quill capping systems are available with either waterfall or rotary disk cap sorting systems. See more information about waterfall or rotary disk cap sorting systems.

PackWest inline screw-on capping systems are ideal for:
  • Applying round continuous thread closures to cylindrical, square, rectangular and oval containers with or without handles
  • Speeds up to 300 cpm (18,000 cph)
  • Closure diameters from 1.1” (28 mm) to 5.3” (135 mm) with waterfall sorters
  • Closure diameters from 0.3” (8 mm) to 2.7” (70 mm) with rotary disk sorters
  • Container heights from 2.0” (50 mm) to 15.0” (381 mm)
  • Container diameters from 0.5” (12 mm) to 9.9” (175 mm)
  • Space constrained line layouts
  • Capping systems include integrated cap hoppers, cap elevators and a waterfall or rotary disk cap sorter
