PackWest rotary disk cap sorting systems, also referred to as rotary sorters, consistently deliver proven, dependable and budget friendly performance. They are easy to operate, easy to changeover and easy to maintain. PackWest rotary disk sorters use a mechanical process based on vertically positioned sorting rings with configurations designed to allow a cap to exit the sorter in only the correct orientation. Caps that are not correctly positioned will not and cannot exit the rotary sorter. PackWest rotary disk sorters require no air jets, no wiper blades and they offer true hassle-free versatility.

Rotary disk sorter changeovers from one cap to another are frequently not required because multiple caps can run on the same sorting ring. When sorting ring changeovers are required the process removing the current sorting ring and replacing with the next sorting ring can be completed in 10 minutes. PackWest inline spindle capping systems configured with rotary disk cap sorting systems are a great choice for:

  • Screw-on and snap-on caps whose height is greater than their width
  • Speeds up to 300 cpm
  • Production lines running multiple containers
  • Production lines running multiple closures
  • Space constrained line layouts
PackWest inline screw-on and snap-on capping systems with rotary disk cap sorters are ideal for:
  • Applying round continuous thread closures to cylindrical, square, rectangular and oval containers, with or without handles
  • Applying round snap-on or press-in closures to cylindrical, square, rectangular and oval containers, with or without handles
  • Speeds up to 300 cpm (18,000 cph)
  • Closure diameters from 0.3” (8mm) to 2.7” (70mm)
  • Container heights from 2.0” (50mm) to 15.0” (381mm)
  • Container diameters from 0.5” (12mm) to 9.9” (175mm)
  • Rotary disk cap sorting systems typically include cap hoppers integrated with cap elevators that deliver unsorted caps to the sorter

When supplied with a PackWest inline capper, PackWest rotary disk cap sorting and handling components offer unmatched performance because they are designed and configured to work seamlessly together to deliver dependable performance
