98% 304 stainless steel construction. Electrically powered elevation system. Each unit is supplied with a caster kit with dual point leveling system. Heavy duty air clutches increase the torque pressure and eliminate burning of the cap skirt. Torquing disc adjustment is accomplished from operator side of unit. Our design permits the adjustment of front and rear discs separately or simultaneously using one tool while the machine is in operation. Top driven to insure no product spillage into drive assembly. Pack West frames are of straddle mount, "C" frame design for easy integration into conveying systems, and are constructed entirely of stainless steel.
Variable speed quill and gripper assemblies. Pack West has placed strong emphasis on quick change-over from one size to another with few, or in many cases, no tools required. Handles plastic or metal caps from 10 mm up to 89 mm at line speeds in excess of 200 containers per minute, depending on cap. Electrically interlocked operator access doors. Rapid gripper height adjusting system. Positive bottle control is assured by an articulating gripper assembly that allows the grippers to match the contour of tapered bottles. All 304 stainless steel, "No Tool", adjustable cap delivery system. Continuous thread caps, sports cap, child resistant closures and tamper evident caps all run with equal efficiency (metal or plastic). All parts CAD designed and CAM generated entirely on Pack West premises.
